Getting Acquanited. / Hope & Anxieties
The class will be divided into two groups, each at a 'recording station'.
Group members will take turns being interviewed. Each interview should last between 10-15 minutes.
Begin with a about 3 minutes of basic acquaintance questions - ( i.e. Where are you from? How long have you lived here? Where do you work? Married? Free time activities? etc. )
Then ask the interviewee these questions. Feel free to go 'off script' if the conversation turns in a different but interesting direction.
- How much time do you spend using computers? What do you spend most of your computer time doing?
- What anxieties do you have about...
....using computers in general?
... using computers in your teaching?
... this course? - What hopes do you have for all of the above?
- What are some positive examples of using computers for learning that you have experienced yourself or seen others doing?
- What is the 'best case scenario' for your teaching future? What would you like to be doing, 5, 10, 20 years down the road?
