Week #10  - ShowTime!




Presentation Prep
  • Open Firefox, install, the missing plugin and activate the delicious addon. Restart Firefox. 
  • Start Skype (Applications/Skype/skype.exe) and log in
  • Install Mikogo (download here) and join Mikogo Se
  • Open your presentation (Powerpoint or Google Docs) and queue up and websites you'll be visiting

CALL Topic Presentations
  • You will share you presentation and/or web tour via skype conference and mikogo. Please think of yourself as leading an informal discussion of your CALL topic as opposed to formal one way presentation.  Let your classmates know if you'd prefer  to have Q & A during or after your presentation. 

Final Week To Do List
  • Post your CALL Topic Presentation on Slideshare and use recorded audio of your presentation to make a Slidecast.  You can use the recorded audio from your in-class presentation or you can record on your own using Audacity (posting on EFL537.com or archive.org)

  • Post any online resources you've reviewed  at: http://learningcall.net/readings
     
  • Finish your 'Learning Materials' and prepare to discuss them briefly during a 'show and tell' session next week. 
     
  • Make sure your Wordpress.com blog includes
    • an 'about' page
    • a post for you CALL Topic Presentation (with embedded Slideshare)
    • a post for your Learning Materials
    • A side widget with your Delicious Bookmarks
    • A Links category for your Classmates blogs

  • In your Week#11 reflection, please address these questions
    • What aspects of CALL and/or computer use in general do you want to pursue in your post-EFL537 life?
    • What concerns do you have about challenges you will encounter in pursuing these interests? How might you overcome them?
    • Any final wishes of things to cover before the course ends?
