Description:
This RIF Reading is Fundamental website is good for teachers to use for their students. There are books to listen to, games for word-sense, vocabulary building, books for reading, and much more. The video and colors will be inviting to children. Some of the activities in the games might not be labeled appropriately for children's ages. However, I think activities could still be chosen for students according to their language proficiency.

This is "learn to read" site for children. It has a game like quality and is very colorful. The methodology is phonics based. The texts are short and require interaction with the site. There are short vowel games, short movies, and the on-line texts have paper texts that coordinate with them for use in the classroom.

This website is geared for elementary education students in grades K-2 but I have found it to be very useful with my young, beginning ESL students. Students can read the book on the screen and listen to it at the same time. I have found my students find the books very entertaining and they have really helped them with their reading especially recognizing letter sounds.
